Browsing some of the PresbyBlogs that I usually read this week, I noticed that several of you are attending--or recently attended--summer conferences. Some of the conferences are for pastors and some are for lay leaders of the church.
Summer is conference season, so please share in the comments your favorite conference experience and what made it so memorable, or your least favorite conference and why it went wrong.

As a child, I loved summer vacations to Ghost Ranch (natural wonders, personal independence, Avery & Marsh!), Synod School (independence, college campus living, fabulous programming/learning opportunities), and Triennium (the incomparable experience of worshipping with 5000 passionate Presbyterian teenagers).
Trips like those are the source for many of my most poignant childhood memories. Oh! And Mariners' Weekends at Rock Springs family camp. Good times.
