Ask the Moderator: How is it going?

So it is about 9:oopm, Thursday night, November 6th, California time and it just dawned on my that the first Friday of the month is tomorrow and I am supposed to post my monthly "Ask the Moderator" posting.

Hmmmm . . . somehow that was missed by someone. Two choices, put something together on the fly or look over the table at my Eldest child hurriedly finishing her homework, and try something a little different this month.

So many people have asked how things are going so far with the whole moderator thing is going, I thought why not find out the real deal and interview my daughter. So . . . here it goes, my unedited interview to find out, "Just how is this moderator thing going?" Now of course there is an Office of the Office of the General Assembly Moderator's Report given last month, but it is pretty safe to say that the video might be a tad bit more interesting.

Thanks for taking a listen. If you or any others are interested in getting a greetings done for a meeting or gathering, let me know and I'll do my best to get something to you.

Til next month,

Ask the Moderator comes out every 1st Friday of the month. Please feel free to add your voice to the growing list of questions [HERE].

A creative and honest look. Thanks!

Not exclusively related to this video, but I love the use of (new daddy!) David LaMotte in these videos!

Excellent, Bruce. This is a great way for Presbyterians across the country to get to know you.

I'd love to have a five minute Moderator's moment at our monthly church Session, as I'm sure all Sessions across the land will. You should think about producing one for the PC(USA) each month. I know that all of the elders at Erin would watch it.

Thanks all. I wish I would have taken more time to think this through, but such is life. In any case, i have been thinking about trying to do a monthly thing. No promises, but i will def use this medium more often, now that I have a basic template set.

Bruce,
I am an elder in a PC(USA) church and I was not a commissioner to the GA. I'm pretty sure that i wouldn't have voted for you BUT as I read your various blogs and listen to you talk--I'm very sure that I would LIKE you anyway.
Thanks for all of your efforts.

Smurf - Fair enough and if we could only all be able to do that, what a world it would be.

Mark - Way too cold ;-)
