Merry Christmas. I don't feel the need to apologize for celebrating the birth of Christ.

Happymerry Hanukkwanzamas!

Or...

Merry Mythology!

Or...

Greetings from our son of god to yours!

Shrug. Either seems appropriate.

I think it's rude to wish a Merry Christmas to someone you know is a member of a faith that does not celebrate that holiday. On the other hand, I don't like wishing everyone a bland, colorless Happy Holiday out of fear of guessing wrong about their religious preferences.

Oops. I forgot the reason for the season, the winter solstice.

So...

Happymerry Solstihannukkwanzaamas!

I made up a greeting in high school...slappy chuckmost. It made sense back then.
I think being sensitive to others religious persuasion is good. I also understand that if I am wished a merry happy or whatever something that I am being welcomed into the personal world of that individual. So I consider it alright to share my heart with others.

"Merry Christmas" or nothing. If we can't stand by this, then the terrorists will have won.

That's the spirit, Brett!

I love it. Saying "Happy Holidays" means the terrorists have won.

We Christians cannot afford to back down one centimeter! We draw the line at Christmas. Everyone to arms.

Further, we should should say it with a sneer like we mean it:

"Have a Merry Freakin' Kick Ass Jesus Christmas! And your mother too!"

How's that?

You know what I would like for Solstihanakkwanzamas? I would like Presbyterian Bloggers to acknowledge when I update my blog. All other blogs get a happy little "updated!" when their blogs are updated. But not Shuck and Jive. Shuck and Jive sits there unadorned waiting and waiting for a little Solstihannakkwanzamas cheer.

So, from the presbyterian blogger gods, could I get an "updated!" too for Solstihannakkwanzamas? Pretty please?

I would personally like to wish "Shuck and Jive" a Happy Solstihanakkwanzamas, even if this means the terrorists win.

Do you think our snarky comments, hilarious though they may be, are getting our blogs sent to the "Presbyterian Bloggers" time out corner where "updated!" privileges are revoked?

I want to know how "Presbyterian Bloggers" became an Affinity/Advocacy group. What are we advocating for?

If this question gets sent to the time-out corner, so be it.

Merry "Immaculate Conception" (this Friday)!

Sorry, I wanted that to be a link:

Affinity and Advocacy

Thanks Brett for the CHRISTMAS wishes.

At first I thought I was in the PB time out corner because I was naughty. Then I thought I was paranoid. I now think I am naughty again. Paranoid and naughty both. Are you not getting your "updated!" affirmation either? I'm telling you now, you don't want to be lumped with me! It's lonely being a mouthy radical.

And Alex, I don't know what PB is advocating for either. Although, I do have an affinity for it. I like you Presbyterian Bloggers. I do! Update me! Update me! Update me!

Clearing this was a popular question seeing that this is post number 14.

Alex - I think that we listed because it is list of advocacy groups and publications; I think that we are listed under the publications which I kind of understand. Frankly I think it’s SO cool that we are list anywhere on the PC (USA) website. Thanks Louisville

John – First, you crack me up. Second, I came up with another possible solution to the update or lack there of issue. Maybe this time it will work.

Huh -- I wonder if Lew-ah-vull owns the content of our blogs then? (Only half-joking...)

If anyone gets to be in time out I want to hang out with them. I giggled like a Japanese school girl at Disneyland when I read the above banter. I heart PB!!!

You did it! I got an "updated!" in my stocking!

Thank you!
