It will be interesting to see how the government and the denomination respond to this disaster compared to what happened after Katrina.

Can you see us setting up mission work teams to rebuild millionaire homes????

Regardless of the money it is tragic and they are in need of help, prayer, and service as others.

Having been evacuated from a fire it is no picnic.

I agree Ryan, but how do we help in this instance? Perhaps have work parties to rebuild Malibu church, but aren't there still some churches along the Gulf Coast that are needing to be rebuilt?

It's all tragic, but how can we avoid this in the future? Shouldn't we allow the forestry people to thin out the trees before this starts? I'm all for working parties to help rebuild, but let's also be sensible: Mother Nature cannot be controlled, no matter where we live.
